Destination--Chicago, My Kind Of Town
When I was a kid, we had a trip to Chicago, stayed in a great hotel and had several tours including going to Chinatown. It was a blast but when you are a kid you do not really appreciate things like you do when you grow up. So, I went back there when I was about 23 years old. Big difference.
My family and I visited several places while in Chicago but the one that I will always remember is the Museum of Science and Industry. It is loaded with interesting things to do and look at. Ah, I know. Science. Boring. Industry. Even more boring. Not so. That place has a working coal mine, a full sized submarine, a farm, a space center, an internet area and so much more that I cannot believe it would only take a day to see it all.
Okay, this all reminds me of traveling and vacations. If you were talking about Air Travel, I have flown in a jet from Miami to Chicago. That was extremely memorable since I had never flown in a jet before. My whole experience was a twin prop Cessna over an Ozark lake. That ride was incredible. You feel like you are taking off in a rocket. When we landed at Chicago, I wanted to visit it again but we had to catch a commercial prop plane to Moline, Ill.
