Once Again, I Am Recovering

Welcome back!
I so totally hate this. On Saturday I fell on my left leg, the same one that had a DVT (blood clot) in it in August. Since then, it has hurt more and more. On Tuesday, I took an ambulance ride to the supposedly local hospital some 30 miles away, give or take a mile or two. While they were very supportive for me, the doctor there said there was not much he could do for me other than give me a couple more antibiotics (like I needed more of those) and a pain killer. He sent me home. I have Cellulitis in that leg now. Isn’t it enough that I had the DVT? Nope. Apparently not.
Frankly, it makes it hard for me to concentrate, hard to work, hard to do much of anything. And before you think that this is some easy thing, it is not. It has nothing whatsoever to do with cellulites which is a gathering of fat cells. Nope, this is an infection of the skin and just under the skin, in my case, my left leg. There is a white hot fire that happens each time I try to sit up and step on the foot. Getting up to walk is agony. With my light head problems and the infection that isn’t ready to go away anytime soon, it is most difficult to deal with it. The only alli I have in this whole thing is my Lord and my family, especially my husband. He is with me all the time, does not allow me to be alone at all. My Mom and sister, bro-in-law and nieces are also in my corner. But none of them can know what this is truly like. It is pure agony.
If you ever come across someone who has this, please be sympathetic to them. The pain killers do not work well. It is very difficult to walk although once in motion, not as hard to deal with it. The pain does not leave. My Texas sis told me about it when she had this (she has had it three times now. I have no idea how she has dealt with it without going nuts). I never knew what she went through though she told me. I had no idea.
