The Day After

Welcome back!
This is the day after the election for the history making presidency. What’s next? Well, normally the president elect starts choosing his cabinet and members of his staff. And I believe the current president elect is doing just that. But there are other things going on too. This time, there is a real change in the way things are done. Usually, the media is having the feeding frenzy over the winner. Then a couple of days pass and things start to die down. Don’t think that’s going to happen this time. There are too many things that could change overnight. For instance, I have heard about some riots that were happening on Tuesday night. Even one town here in the northeastern part of this state had a riot in a college town. It was small, quelled quickly but it was there.
As I understand it, there was the threat of riots in larger cities as well. So, I have this question. If Mr. Obama had not succeeded in making it to the White House, would our country currently be in a flood of uncontrolled riots? Is that what happens when someone doesn’t make President? Because if it is, then there is still something seriously wrong with our country concerning race. It is all well and good for the president elect to tell us how the campaign wasn’t about race. Then, the first thing I see in the morning after on television are as many black leaders as they could possibly get to talk this morning. See, that would not be happening with a so called normal election. Personally, I could care less about the color of skin. The president elect could have pink polka dots and green stripes for all I care. It’s time for that. However, it is not time for senseless and asinine riots and unrest. So, we now have the man heading into the White House in a few weeks. Is that what stopped the riots? Because if it is, we have more trouble than the terrorists. Way more.

I believe that there will not be disturbances, 2 or 3 idiots can appear here and there but it will not happen at all country.
In the first place, you apparently do not live in the US or if you do, your website doesn’t. In the second place, that is the type of thinking that gets this country into trouble time and again. Our arrogance is the reason we never believed we would be hit with a terrorist attack too.
Riots? Not now. But they would have happened had he not gotten in or so the reports say.
But this is just the beginning of the nightmare. That I can promise you.
Thanks for your visit.
There will always be race in this country. Riots will happen regardless. It just depends how people want to execute their emotions. If Obama didn’t win, people will say because he is an African-American. Now that he has won, people say it is because he is an African-American. Race will always play in this country regardless of winning or losing. Regardless if you are white, black, asian, hispanic, etc. Controversy will always be part of this country.
