Finally! The Vote Will Be In Tonight….Hopefully

Welcome back!
Over 21 months later, we are finally coming to the end of the campaign. I knew that this would take a long time when I first started seeing the campaigning way back when. And I was not looking forward to all those months of watching the news since they would be talking about each one of the major players in the running. Sigh. It has taken all these months to get to this point. Not sure I’m now ready for the outcome. Frankly, I wonder if sometime soon whether we will regret what we have done this day. I think we most certainly will regret it. Too many people are voting for the wrong reasons if the polls are to be believed. If the media is right about even a small portion of it, we are in deep doo doo.
During my growing years, I learned that people took politics seriously, that they chose who to vote for by their honor and what they stood for. Now days, they are being picked by the way they comb their hair, their race or gender, how good they look, what they said in one place and one time. If you check out some of these people, you find that they have zero idea what the person stands for. They have no clue what the platform is but they will vote for them nevertheless.
I learned to vote for someone by conscience, for what they are willing to do for the country, how they stand morally, not by who does their hair or what they said once a long time ago. How do they live? What will they do about (fill in the blank), not just some vague answers that really don’t say anything but real goals and dreams. I believe we have one who will do what he says as much as is humanly possible. I also believe we have one who is what my daughter calls “punking” the American public. That person is dangerous to our country. He has not really told us what specifically he will do in certain situations. We have no clue what he would do at all.
After watching a couple of the debates plus the one with the vice presidential candidates, there is a clear winner there. I believe that the two people most ready to walk into those jobs would do the very best they could for our country. BUT, there are two others that I think have an agenda and they are not that clear about it. In fact, if you were to try to pin them down as a couple of the moderators tried to do, you will find vague, hard to understand where they stand type answers. That is not the best person to be in the highest office in the land.
I truly believe we will be making a huge mistake by electing these two people. Who? Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden. That’s who.
