Maybe I’m Too Old For This Stuff

Welcome back!

I don’t know. Yesterday, I wrote a post about text messaging while driving. Apparently this is a hot button issue with some people. Frankly there is this common sense part that says that this is one area that should be easy to figure out. DON’T DRIVE IMPAIRED! Now, usually that means that people who have been drinking or taking drugs should not be driving. I agree wholeheartedly on that. But now, it also includes putting a cell phone up to your ear AND those who text message while driving. I cannot believe sane, thinking people would be doing this. But then, every time I look at the drivers, they get younger and younger in my opinion. Of course, that could be because I’m getting older and older.

The trouble is that this is a ridiculous thing to be doing while driving. It just is. These young people who look like they have hardly gotten out of junior high school or middle school and still need acne treatments should not be out there endangering the rest of us and now I know that they are. What’s worse, the older generation is doing this too. When did reasoning go out the window? When did common sense become no longer common? That’s what bothers me the most here. These people should be smart enough to know that texting while driving is dangerous and stupid. But the younger people think they can do just about anything and not get caught or have any accidents. Do you know which ones actually get this message about not driving impaired? The ones that had the accident and injured or killed someone. They got the message. The rest think they will never be the one to do such a thing to anyone.

The bottom line is that this is a stupid and dangerous practice. Maybe I am getting too old but maybe it’s really all about those who need to get a clue and stop doing these dangerous and stupid things. Stop text messaging while driving. It is definitely impairing you whether you believe it or not. I don’t want to be the one next to you on the highway when you have the accident you are bound to have if you do not stop it. The dumbest part of all this is that those who do this think that it’s okay since there is no law about it on the books. Just because it isn’t a law yet doesn’t mean it stops being dangerous and stupid to do it. Just a thought.

    Hey
sory to write to you like this, but i could not find the contact form. I really like your blog and i was wondering if you would maybe like a link exchange with my website http://www.sayeconomy.com . It is not as big as yours, since it isn’t up so long yet, but it’s gaining visitors fast and i have ordered an advertising campaign recently.

Next to link exchange i would like to offer you an option to publish some articles of yours about economy on my blog, send them to me and i will publish them. You can add link to your blog under each article and i will publish it as a source.

Hi, thanks for reading my blog! I really appreciate it. This is just an opinion blog, nothing really that big a deal. I love to give my opinions on all sorts of topics. At the moment, the election and all the campaigning, emphasis on the PAIN!, so I talk about that a lot.

I will try to get a link exchange going here in a day or so. We are really busy right now working on catching up with some work that had to be set aside until my internet connection could come back up and running.

Thank you for visiting and for the invitation!
