Laptops Are Great

Welcome back!

When I got my laptop, I was on top of the world…still am, for that matter. It was and is making it easier for me to do lots of things I could not have been able to do on a computer. I’m not supposed to sit up for long periods of time so trying to blog was pretty much out of the question, especially in the beginning of my little problem. But then I got the laptop. WOW! What a difference it makes in my life. The only thing that’s sort of weird is that I have as many electrical cords and cables, like that HDMI cable, coming out of it. The battery is almost fried so I cannot use it. I noticed that it worked for all of a couple minutes when the power blinked one time. By blinked, I mean it was off for a couple minutes. The battery hung in there for that long. However, it is always drained by the time I restart in the morning.

We found out that laptops need a cooling pad. Never heard of that before my sister got her laptop. I thought the things were called “laptop” because you could have it in your lap to run it. This one would be a bit difficult in my lap since it does get really hot when it’s been running for a while. So, there’s the cooling pad cord, the mouse cord (yes, I use a mouse with the laptop since I’m already tied down to needing the cooling pad, etc. I cannot get the hang of using that touch pad. Okay, I am not a computer geek or even any good at doing things with computers without a bit of help. This cordless (yeah right) mouse has a cord too. I count at least 5, maybe 6 cords and cables going to the laptop. Not exactly as mobile as I would have thought. However, I love my laptop so it doesn’t matter. This computer is sitting where I want it to be. My PC would never be able to do this. I am happy!!!
