« Bailout Moving Forward? | Put Our Country First »

Hey, Our Gas Pains Are Getting Less

Welcome back!

As I noticed that the House was about to pass the bailout bill and send it on to the President’s desk, I noticed something else. Our gas prices have dropped down to a number I had not seen in a while, $3.34. Now, I am not doing a happy dance since I believe that those prices should be down closer to a dollar a gallon or lower. However, I am thrilled that at least at this moment, we are not as hard hit for gas money as we have been in the last several months. It is a welcome relief.

Is the bailout going to work? Not really sure. I believe it will bolster some companies for a while but that Wall Street greed is huge and will take time to sort out. It is a real shame that the companies could not police themselves because I do not believe that government should be in those private companies but what can you do when they got so greedy that they did themselves in. And while I think that they should deal with their problems themselves, and if it were one company I would agree that it needs to do that by itself, there are so many companies in trouble right now. Not a good idea to let them sink or swim as they used to say. So, the bailouts will commence.

Hey, how about Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. Anyone see that debate? Okay, I did not think any one person won the debate hands down. However, I did think that there were just a whole lot of people who were selling Sarah Palin short. I think that she proved them wrong last night. Joe Biden is cool, calm (this time) and almost too civil. He held his tongue when Ms. Palin blew the commander of Iraq’s name but she could have been a tiny bit nervous since the whole country practically came down on her last week. She had been having a rocky time in the media again. When will they ever learn?

All in all, the end of the week was better than the beginning. Things shaped up a bit by midweek around here too. The weather is nice and a video I am trying to make is coming together. Not bad. Not bad at all.
