Not Enough Exercise! Now What?

Posted by: From Arkansas in Health Topics, exercise on Sep 14 2008

Welcome back!

For the last month and a half, I have had little exercise (not that I’m a big fan anyway) because of the medical situation. And that has been bad because I needed to be able to get up and walk around a whole lot more than I have been able to do. Of course, we have a treadmill but I was unable to get up and move that much with this condition. It is getting better but there are still times when the moving around could be better than it is.

Before we had the treadmill, I would wish we had one because I knew that I would be able to do the walking in the winter time just like I love doing in the summer. Our winters here are not that bad but I have troubles walking on uneven ground anymore so walking in the neighborhood is harder and harder to accomplish. But the treadmill has been right here for us to use any time we needed it. But what if that wasn’t all we needed? Am I being greedy wanting more than I have?

Now that I am returning to the more active life I used to lead, I am needing to do more exercising than I have been of late. The treadmill is good but not quite as challenging as we would like. What could we dream up to put in that one space in the spare room? An elliptical machine, of course! What else were you thinking? It would go so well with our treadmill. I am not sure I would actually use it. I have seen people on those. WOW! My coordination is terrible so I am not really sure what would happen with me on that. But I am willing to give it a shot…..more or less.
