New Things Amaze Me Or Disgust Me

Welcome back!
I thought at some point that I had about seen everything but people amaze me in their efforts to be as stupid as they possibly can be. I thought that things could not shock me but they do from time to time. You know, David Letterman used to do “stupid pet tricks” on his show. Dunno if he still does. I don’t watch it anymore. But worse by far than stupid pet tricks are stupid human tricks that get too bizarre. So, what am I talking about this time? Animal painting.
Okay, we are not discussing paintings of animals here. Nope. We are talking about taking your cat and paint it to look like something else. For instance, this woman had her cat painted to look more like a zebra. Another person had their cat look like a skeleton for halloweenie or something like that. Someone had their cat’s face painted to have a butterfly on it. And one looks like a fish. Seriously. Some idiot had his cat painted with little gray hearts all over the cat. Of course, some person’s cat has an American flag all over it’s body. There are more, naturally since there are other people as stupid as the first.
Let’s cut to the chase here. The cost for this seriously stupid crap can go as high as $15,000. Yes, I said thousands. And since the cat’s fur grows out fairly soon, they sometimes do this every three months. So, a cat getting painted every three months for a solid year would cost roughly $60,000. Yes, I still said thousands.
Leaving aside the abuse of the cat here for a second, what kind of idiot would spend all that money to do that when there are starving people in the world? I consider that type of spending complete waste of money, time and effort. What hockey puck would do the painting of a cat in the first place? It is grossly obvious that the mighty dollar is more important to the artist than integrity.
Now, bringing back the abuse of the cat here. The cat would not like this or I doubt it. I am sure they will say that the cat is not abused, that it has paint on it that will not hurt it at all. Well call me brain dead here but doesn’t this procedure take some time? The cat has to be restrained in some way, I am certain. Anyone who has a cat knows all about that one.
The bottom line here is that whoever is doing this to those cats is abusing them. The owners need their heads examined to see if there are some bolts loose. Anyone who loves cats would not think of subjecting their precious little baby to such stressful and ridiculous stupidity. And that is all I have to say about this. Nope. I’m not Forest Gump, just a concerned pet lover.
