This, That And The Olympics

Welcome back!

It probably looks like I have nothing good to say about much. That really is not true. I have lots of things I love but I have been wrapped up in this seemingly never ending set of health problems. I do believe that things are settling down now. I certainly pray that’s true. This is a beautiful day today. It’s not really hot at the moment, our windows are open which is always nice for me. We are probably going to have some rain today from that storm they called Fay. Not too bad.

We are waiting on a visit from my weekend nurse who comes to do vitals and check to see if I have any problems. I really like that since I don’t get out much. This breaks up an otherwise probably boring day. Have you noticed that there isn’t much on television these days? Since the Olympics are about over, it’s going to be a dry night too.

Have you been watching the Olympics? I love to watch some of it, other parts are sort of boring. But really, we have had some fantastic moments. I’m thinking Michael Phelps and the track team for both men and women. Great! Now, although we are not top in the gold standings, that belongs to China with 51 to our 36 gold, our standings in overall medals is the best. We have 110 to date. China ranks second with a total of 100. Russia comes in a distant third with 72.

This has been a fantastic year for the U.S. I am sorry I missed a bunch of it due to health issues but what I did see was awesome. I just watched our basketball team go gold against Spain. Yeah! Can’t wait to see the winter Olympics when they start in 2010 in Vancouver.
