The Storm Is Gone

Welcome back!
You have been very patient to still be reading after all the problems I had at that hospital. The storm has, indeed, gone. My home health care is doing great. They come out every day to see how I am doing, take the vitals and tomorrow take blood for the pro-time. Not really looking forward to that one but, all in all, a good deal. I have to sit here mostly twiddling my thumbs anyway. I might just as well do something else…like write here.
I really like the home health care nurses that I have seen so far. It’s been two days of this. They are nice and sweet. Best of all, they listen when there is a problem. Of course, while they are here, there is the inevitable call on one of those unlocked cell phones they carry everywhere. It does stop everything but that is not a problem for me. We do talk about when I might be active again. That, of course, is going to depend on the leg and just how long it takes to not be swollen. Did I mention that my leg looks like two legs in one? Really swollen. Yes, it is going to take time but I guess I have the time now. And when this is over, I will have a major respect for those who are home bound. My situation is likely to be temporary. Others have a more permanent situation. I am already feeling your pain.
But I am already giving the thumbs up to those home health care people who take their time to be in our homes to help us. Some would say it’s their job. Yes, it is but it takes a certain type of person to be willing to give up their weekends to do such things. I get that health care 7 days a week until I do not need it anymore. This is a major blood clot. It may take a while.
Thank you to those ladies who have already been here and to those who will be seeing me in the future. I am blessed.
One more note here. If you have a cramp in your calf or leg that does not want to go away no matter what you do, please get some help. It may be a blood clot that could threaten your life. Do not wait to see what might happen. I was blessed. It was big but did not move. Some tend to break off and travel to the lungs or heart. Get the medical attention as soon as possible. And for goodness sake, get an ambulance. It is well worth it no matter what the money costs.
