Is This For Real?

Welcome back!

In the previous post, I told you about my spider bite and all that entailed. Today, I went back to the doctor so he could take another look at the bite. I guess he wanted to see if the thing had gotten smaller. I could not see that it had. By the time I got to the doc’s office, I was feeling like I had the flu. I knew it wasn’t that though. Seems Mr. spider had done more than I thought. Doc said I had to go to the hospital. Oh brother. Just one more thing.

Actually, I should have mentioned this too. Our cat, Gizmo, was looking like he did not feel well at all. That was on Wednesday night so my husband and I stayed up into the night watching him. I got exhausted so I got about an hour of sleep while my husband continued to watch him. We thought he was in deep trouble but around here, it’s practically impossible to get a vet in the middle of the night.

In the morning, we took him to the vet. The vet said that our baby was trying to die on us. My goodness, I knew he was sick but this was worse. He needed a transfusion but the doctor wasn’t sure if he would make it through that, he was that sick.

By the time we got out of our doctor’s office and had gone home, we found out that he came through the transfusion just fine and was on the road to recovery. Apparently, he had gotten anemic. We had had a number of family things going on at that time and had not seen how much he wasn’t eating. Our Gizmo is doing much better today. However, we cannot pick him up like they wanted since I have to head to the hospital and who knows how long that will last.

So, we are now headed to the hospital. Our cat is in one hospital and my husband and I will be at another one. I will never again ask what else could go wrong. NEVER AGAIN!!! I guess we shall see what happens.
