Very soon, on Feb. 17th, all analog televisions are more or less obsolete unless there is a converter box or is on cable or satellite tv. Frankly, it would be hard to forget that fact since most of the time, I see some type of blurb about it on whatever channel I choose to be on. Our television is still analog. Sigh. But we are currently on cable. I doubt that will change in the near future anyway. But it’s like someone is holding an anvil over our heads about this deal.
I have no idea if we are going to be ready for the switch over on the date. My thought is that we will catch up next year some time. In the meanwhile, I have been looking around for some good deals on digital televisions which are, for the most part, all they sell now. Oh, some stores are still getting rid of the analog televisions but you can avoid those easily. They will be so cheap you would think that it was a great deal. Uh huh.
But in the long run, we are going to have to switch, like it or not, and get a digital tv that rocks. Because if we just get some handy, dandy little set that does no more than project a picture, I am going to be sorely disappointed. So, what do I look for in a set? First thing that came to mind was an LCD HDTV because I saw some flat screens in those and loved the idea. I think our biggest problem then would be….where to put the thing. We are a little bit short on wall space for such a thing. Ah well, I guess we’ll figure it out when we get it. Sounds like a great idea. I wonder when……….

But we are currently on cable.
lol
their are least chances that we will move on to SATELLITE TV in near future…currently it is very expensive..
So, it’s funny we are on cable. Beats the heck out of one channel without it. Did I mention that we live in rural Arkansas? That where we live is all about hills and valleys? That we are on the side of a hill that is the wrong side?
I have news, cable is worse for expensive. We had to pay out over $60 for a few channels last month. I called them and cut the service. We now get a handful of channels. But I am only paying out $20 a month now. Satellite would be cheaper than that. Don’t argue. I have had both. Satellite is cheaper.
