« Better Late Than Never: Happy Fourth Of July!!! (insert fireworks here) | After The Fireworks Are Over »

More About Freedom

Welcome back!

Yes, the 4th of July has come and gone. The fireworks displays have been seen. The crowds have dispersed. Today is just another day again. Well, it is still the 4th of July weekend so I suppose there are some people who are still celebrating that good old day but, for the most part, it’s now history. So, we put away our flags and get out the stuff for the next holiday, if Labor Day can actually be called a holiday.

But what happened to our patriotism? Why must we only celebrate our country on one day or one weekend? It is truly a blessing to live in our country. I wanted to put something here that is a positive statement because this blog is not always as positive as I would like it to be. Sometimes, the truth hurts too much. But today, this is a positive song, a beautiful song about our freedom.

Now, I do not want to leave out anyone who lives in another country that is not the United States. So, I decided to put a video here. Now, the video does have the U.S. flag in it but I want everyone to enjoy it like this is a song for every country. Live as though you were free! See, in the U.S., we are not as free as we used to be. So, we need to get back those freedoms however we can. But it takes wanting to be free to do it. If we sit idly by and do nothing, we will no longer be free. So, get up off that couch and do your part!

Here are the guys from the Gaither Vocal Band doing a song called “Let Freedom Ring”:

Thank you for watching the video. Be blessed!

More importantly than why we only have one big celebration when people say happy birthday USA, is why do so many in the majority power feel the need to scream anyone who disagrees with them are unamerican?

    Brads last blog post..UnAmerican Activities

I do not believe it’s unAmerican to disagree with the majority. Too many people have been the majority and been just wrong. It is very healthy for a government to allow us to disagree. When we are told not to disagree, then we become part of a communist country I don’t want to have anything to do with.

Frankly, I do not agree with many things going on in our government right now, both sides of the congressional aisle. And I will say that anytime I want to on this blog. I have no problem with those who choose to disagree with me but I will not tolerate someone saying I am unAmerican or pro-terrorist just because they do not like what I say.

Brad, you keep on doing what you are doing. We may not agree on everything but you have every right to say it!!!

      Thanks for your coments!
