Singing “This Chair Ain’t Workin’ For Me” Blues

Welcome back!

Yes, I do feel quite sorry for myself at the moment. I have a chair that was acquired some years ago. It has served me well over those years but all good things must come to an end, on this earth anyway. The chair is definitely wearing out. Don’t you feel sorry for me? What I need is some new office furniture. Like that’s going to happen in the next few months. Harrumph.

Actually, I don’t know about that. We just might be able to get some new furniture since we need it so badly. If you think I’m crying about my chair, you should see my husband’s chair. It was old when we got it. It belonged to a friend of mine who was moving and didn’t want to take the set with her. We took the table and set of chairs so she would not have to drag them to another state. They were ancient then. We have had the remaining chairs for over 10 years ourselves. They are not doing well at all right now. Rungs are falling out. Old style hangers are being used to draw them together again. Not good. Between the one I have and his chair, I do think we need some new furniture, don’t you? I’m putting that in my wish list right now!
