Finding Things At The Local Big Discount Store…Uh Huh

Welcome back!
Our local version of an internationally known discount store is yet again making us unhappy. Go figure. I will not give them more publicity by naming them but I will bet you can figure it out. Try finding anything in that place more than once…IF you find it then. We have walked all over the store searching for an item. I remember once that we were looking for bird feeders. We looked high and low in the appropriate place…you know, the one where they were the week before. Finally, we found a clerk who apparently worked in that area of the store and loaded the shelves there. “Where are the bird feeders?” we asked. “Oh, they’re in the next aisle over.” Okay, we go there and….nada, nothing, zero. Back we go to the clerk. “Well then, I don’t know.” “Don’t you work in the pet and wild bird supplies area?” “Yes, I do.” Sigh.
We ended up walking all around the store only to find out that the items that we were seeking were in the lawn and garden area….having been moved there some time ago. Seems strange to me that the individual who stocks the shelves in the pet supply area should know that little fact, right? Uh huh.
If that isn’t bad enough, we walked all over the store for a couple of other things that we never did find that day. But there is always a new day. We were walking by some sale items. It was a whole big huge rack of items on massive sale. I mean the prices were way down. The rack was almost a whole aisle long and definitely tall, too tall for my 6 ft. 3 in. husband to look over. I think it must have been at least 8 ft. tall. I’m talking lots of stuff. We go around to the back side of it and what do we find? Uh huh, the HDMI cables we had been searching the entire store for a few days earlier. Did we need them now? No. Things had changed and they were no longer a priority but they would be needed some other time, no doubt.
Some day, I want to find a replacement for that store. Too many things are not found because even the employees have no clue where they have moved them this week. Is that stupid or what?
