Same Old Song, Different Day

Posted by: From Arkansas in Gas prices and Oil companies on May 26 2008

Welcome back!

I know that almost everyone who owns a car or pays someone to take them to work knows the pain at the pump. It happens all over the country. People are complaining about these prices all the way up to the convening of congress. Committee meetings where the greedy oil companies sit and tell all about how they can justify the high prices at the pump. I was just wondering exactly how they can justify those prices when everyone that has a car, eats, uses any services are in such pain. I cannot see it myself.

Right here in the heartland of the country, Arkansas, our price is quite low compared to other states….$3.79. Connecticut and California have the highest prices in the nation well over $4.17. Those in Wyoming and the lower part of Arizona have the opportunity to pay much less than the rest of the nation at $3.75 and less.

I need to know how the oil companies can justify these awesomely high prices??? What does it take to make them see what they are doing to us???? We are going broke over these prices. People are sacrificing their food for the pump. That just ought not to be so. There was a time when elderly people would eat dog food because the bills are too high and the income is too low. Now, it isn’t just the elderly. Most people now have to sacrifice more and more just to pour money into the tank instead of feeding the kids what they need. What does it take to get through to them???? WHAT DOES IT TAKE????
