Mother’s Day And Birthdays

Welcome back!

Recently, as you must know, many of us celebrated Mother’s Day. My Mom also had her birthday last month. We usually celebrate her birthday actually near the date because we have to have them on the weekends so everyone can be there. But this year, things sorta got out of hand. My brother-in-law had his birthday in March, Mom’s in April and mine in April too. But with all the things going on both of those months with a teen that is about to graduate from an exceptional school hours away from the rest of the family, we had to scramble to get anything accomplished. Ya know what? We are still waiting on that celebration for all of the afore mentioned b-days. LOL! Hey, none of us care about it anyway.

But that brought up the idea of what to give to someone when they have just about everything or they don’t want anything. I really hate that when people tell me that. It makes things a whole lot harder to deal with concerning birthdays, Christmas and any other gift or thought giving to be done. Mother’s Day is sort of easier than a birthday because you can come up with things like flowers and stuffed toys. They both go over really well.

However, birthdays are another animal altogether. For instance, because of what has occurred in the past, I will love any gifts from anyone. Well, there is one exception here. My husband. There was a time when he might have thought to give me some “useful” item like a vacuum cleaner or toaster. Uh no. Guys need to get this. Wives do NOT want useful items from the husband. They want romantic stuff. ROMANTIC!! Get it?? Now you can get something really pretty like roses. Those are excellent. Something I like is handcrafted jewelry or possibly a beautiful engagement ring. Hey, it is never too late for that one. Okay, I admit it. I love DVDs too. Good movies or television shows will always make me happy with the gift. I love them!!

Ah well. Some day soon we will be celebrating all three birthdays together and it will be a blast!! Uh, there is this one thing though. If we do not celebrate them soon, we’ll have another one to add to the list. My husband’s b-day is in JUNE!!! LOL!!! I can’t wait.

    I think that its so much easier buying stuff for men then for women. Women can be so picky (I am sometimes!)

      Yes, I can be a bit picky too but only when my husband is involved. :) And he understands this. And what he gets me now is awesome every time!!! I love it. This is the first person who knows me that well.

    i wasnt able to celebrate mother’s day with my mom this year because we moved across the sea to a different state.

      That’s too bad. I very much enjoy seeing my Mom on or at least near Mom’s Day. Of course, I see her almost every week during the year but it is a joy to see her no matter when it is.

    sounds like you are having a busy and fun months, hope you enjoy it. Yes, sometimes men jz cant understand what women want and I admit it cos I myself a girl, too, i will hope for sumthing other than things tht are useful for me ^_^
