A Very Happy Mother’s Day!

Welcome back!

It is with a great deal of affection that I say Happy Mother’s Day both because I already said it to my Mom and because I am a Mom as well. I heard from my daughter yesterday. She wanted to be first to say that to me. I was blessed by her call. I love giving my Mom the flowers she loves on Mother’s Day. She loves the dark red roses that look so wonderful in a vase with white surrounding flowers.

On the other hand, I also love Garfield so she got him too. :) He’s a cat! Nuff said. We had a great day Saturday, well, if you don’t count the worries about bad weather, that is. Locally, we did okay. We got some rain but missed the bad stuff, at least for now. And I did get to see Mom, something that the rising gas prices might just prevent me from doing as often as I have been. We live about 18 miles from her. Yet, that isn’t as far as some have to go. I am blessed to be able to see her and talk to her on the phone anytime I want to. Many people do not have that option, like my husband and his brother. So, I am totally blessed by today!! Hope you are too.

    My kids ADORE Garfield - did you know there’s an annual Garfest every year? We went there twice - it’s amazing how many adults love this cartoon.

    A very Happy Mothers Day to all mommy out there. I do love Garfield and Peanuts. me, my wife and my kids planning to have dinner in some cool restaurant called Niely’s. It’s a great restaurant that uses a Jungle Theme. Simply great!

      Thank you! Sounds great. We did our celebrating yesterday. Today is a quiet and peaceful day with not much going on. I am a happy camper!

    Mother’s Day is when we honour our mum with a celebration but in fact we should honour them everyday for their sacrifices rather than just one day celebration.

    Well of course we treat our parents well.. It’s just that during this day we treat them EXTRA well =D It’s not like your friends are only good to you on your birthday right? Haha!

      Yes, well we do treat Mom with extra special care on this day, true, but we also choose to treat her well each day. She deserves it.
