Politics Drive Me To Drink…..Water

Welcome back!
Years ago, I did like to drink but no more. Well, I do drink a lot of water but that’s beside the point. I have not touched a drop of any type of alcohol since about 1991 or so. But this endless election is about to change all that…or it would if I decided to do that. It feels like I should have a drink, ya know? After all, both candidates are throwing down drinks for “the masses”, right? Well, of course they are. Hillary is doing shooters and beers. Obama is only hitting the beer circuit lately. Probably due to the bitterness he has when in small towns. But he loves pancakes. He ain’t all bad.
The truth is, I am getting disgusted with politics and this election in particular. For one thing, it seems to have been going on for at least a year already. Come to think of it, it has. ACK!! I am so tired of seeing the election on the news each night that I turned the channel and watched a comedy. After all, it couldn’t be any more of a comedy than the one on the news, right? Yep, it’s a comedy all right. It’s as much of one as if I walked to the center of town in my chemise. Sort of a cross between a comedy and a horror show, I would think.
On and on and on they go, endlessly talking our ears off, all in the name of politics and getting the right……getting the best……..getting the biggest liar into the White House while boring the living fecal matter out of the American public so that they will not have any clues about who to press the button for in November. Actually, I already know who I will vote for. Nope. Not telling. But I am so bored that I might hit the wrong button by mistake. Uh, you have to actually be awake to press the buttons. Did you know that?
