ABC Moderators Criticized For Questions To Candidates

Welcome back!
Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos came under fire today because of their handling of the Democrat Presidential debate held in Pennsylvania recently. Seems that Mr. Gibson and Mr. Stephanopoulos wanted to ask questions about Mr. Obama’s pastor, Ms. Clinton’s lies concerning the time in Bosnia and more. Interestingly, the feedback they are getting on their website is overwhelmingly negative. What happened?
What did happen is that people do not want to know these things about the candidates. Frankly, I do. Why did Mr. Obama stay with the pastor who was so much against the United States? Why did Ms. Clinton think she could get away with lies and then say how “sorry” she is and that ends it? Does it? The questioners also asked both candidates what would happen if they won…would the other one be the Vice Pres. candidate then? Hey, maybe we need to know these things.
Mr. Obama was asked why he didn’t feel the need to wear an American flag pin like other candidates. He was asked about the relationship with a former Weather Underground member. He was asked about his comments on rural and small town Americans who, according to him, are bitter and falling back on their “religion” and their guns. HELLO!!!! I live in small town America. I resent that man’s remarks. He has no clue what he’s talking about but he blathers it out anyway.
My problem here is that we DO need to know these things about these candidates. Mr. Obama thinks that he does not have to answer for his continued membership in a church that had a pastor who, clearly, is against the US. He does not feel he has to answer for his unfeeling and insensitive remarks concerning small town America. Ms. Clinton lied. These things make these candidates less than desirable leaders. Are we entrusting the White House and the leadership of our country to one of these two people. Hopefully not!!! So, YES!! I do think we need to know the answers to these questions.
Those people who do not need or want to know the answers are simply closing their eyes to this whole situation. They have decided on their candidate and they obviously do not care if the person is actually able and ready to assume the office of President. In my opinion, we do not need another Clinton liar in the White House. Neither do we need a person who is willing to stay under the leadership of a pastor who, clearly, hates the US and all it stands for nor do we need someone who, in one comment, reduces the rural communities to their guns and religion. It is rather obvious that he does not respect us. Why should we respect him?
People are saying that the moderators, Gibson and Stephanopolous, have botched the debate. I say they did not. I say they did what we all should be doing, questioning those who have shady pasts, those who make undesirable comments, those who make judgments about something they know nothing about and those who out and out lie to the American people with no concern until they are questioned about it. Clearly, we need someone in the White House who is more in tune with the country, more able to tell us the truth without reservation, more interested in ALL the people, not just his own select brand of folks.
Once again, WAKE UP!! WAKE UP, AMERICA!!! Let’s put someone in the White House who is going to take his job seriously, not just get there because of what race he is or what gender she is. WAKE UP!
