He Said, She Said…Small Town Bitterness And Booze

Posted by: From Arkansas in Are You Kidding Me?, Give Me A Break on Apr 14 2008

Welcome back!

Mr. Obama stuck his foot firmly in his mouth, joining the other foot, when he stated that small town people are falling back on their religion and guns with bitterness. Clinton comes back with the fact that she was raised to tote a gun, shooting Bambi in the process, and chugging with the best of them, something she proved by doing shots and chugging beer in a bar. Yee Haw!

We small town people do resent Mr. Obama’s more than elitist ideas of what we do and how we live. He has done the best he could to turn the Pennsylvanian small town people away. For the record, I do not “fall back” on my religion. I am a Christian believer who is certain that Jesus is my Savior. That is NOT falling back on anything. In fact, it is my life. Guns are not my thing. What a surprise, Mr. Obama. I am small town, therefore I tote a gun just like Bubba. Not true. And even if Bubba does tote a gun, that does NOT mean that he is doing it because of the state of the country. What a load of crap! He might have learned to do that years ago when he was a boy because many, many kids learn to shoot in rural America. And Bubba might want to get a deer for some food to feed his kids now that the food supply is so overpriced that some families cannot make it without doing these things.

Because I had reservations about Mr. Obama before, it will not be a surprise that I am now totally certain I would not vote for him in November. And, of course, his “Annie Oakley” comment about Ms. Clinton, it is laughable too. On the other hand, Ms. Clinton, apparently wanting to be “one of the guys”, just a small town girl chugging her beer and shots like everyone else, is trying to prove something she need not bother with. That woman may have been small town at one time, but it is highly unlikely that she would bother drinking what she did the other day. In fact, it is much more likely that she goes for champaign instead. This person puts forth the “high class” title although that one, too, escapes her.

This is the time for the US to wake up and smell not only the coffee but the rats in the woodpile. They stinketh! Both of these people are doing what they can to show an IMAGE. None of this is reality. We Americans love reality shows so why are we accepting the show that has no truth in it? Both candidates have an agenda. We know what it is. They want to be President of the United States and they will both do just about anything to get there, including lie to the American people. Do you honestly think that good ol’ girl, Clinton is going to chug a beer with you if she does not get the White House? No way! She will run back to her house in NEW YORK, not Arkansas, and lick her wounds. What do you think Mr. Obama is going to do, go bowling with you? Not on your life. He will head to Illnois and lick his wounds. Neither of them will be seen in those places again….unless, of course, they run for office again.

Wake up, people!!! Wake UP! All you see is a lie with these two. They want to be your buddy..that is, until the election. Then, they could care less who you are and what you do. WAKE UP!

Well that was nice. You quoted me but nothing else?? But I so agree with the quote so I left it there instead of treating this like spam and deleting. :)

Hilarious. Don’t paint both Democratic candidates with the same brush. Only Clinton is lying to you. Meanwhile, you bash Obama for hitting closer to the truth about the frustrations of working-class America than any major politician before him.

I guess you’d rather have the feel-good, rah-rah “those aren’t the people I know” political whitewashing by Hillary. Someone who will sell you snake-oil, as opposed to some bitter-tasting medicine that would really deal with the issues and bring about a lasting solution.

    Get real.

Ah, I need to “get real”. Hmm, this coming from some person who signs with the name Jerke Wadde because he does not stand behind his statements. Way to go, Jerke Wadde! Hey, that has a ring to it. ROFL!

In the meanwhile, I am not painting Obama with the same brush. But I do think that his decision making process is a little short of the mark for a President of this country. I’m sure Jerky does not approve of that but it is true.

Let’s see. The rural people are bitter, isn’t that right? As if the urban people are NOT bitter, is that right? Personally, I think there are many people who are disappointed in what our country is becoming. But is that bitter? Are we really “falling back” on our “religion” and our guns? Sigh.

Way to classify us all into some profiling thing. Isn’t that one of the things that people really do not want, to be profiled? I do believe that’s what Mr. Obama has done to small town Americans. And that IS a bitter pill to swallow. I was not bitter about the current situation. I am now dealing with having to forgive this politician who will never again sit with the “masses” and eat pancakes and drink beer, win or lose. Do you not see this??? He is not part of the masses, people. GET A CLUE!!! Especially you, Jerky.

Are you serious? Do you honestly believe that either candidate is telling us the truth? neither one of them is the same person in day to day life as they portray on the campaign trail.

You can’t honestly expect anyone to believe that Obama is portraying himself any more accurately than the Hillary. Both of them are simply trying to convince voters that they’re just like them… which is BS. It’s all a game for votes.

I will say though that as long as they keep sniping at each other, McCain will be gaining ground in his general election campaign. In that, Obama and Clinton are actually doing more good for the Republicans than they are their own party.

Amen. Need I say more? HA! WTG, Selif!
