Those Really Expensive Clothes And Jewelry On Worth Ave

Posted by: From Arkansas in Family stuff, Odds And Ends, Travel on Mar 12 2008

Welcome back!

I used to live in Florida. In fact, it was just north of West Palm Beach. We had occasion to go over to Palm Beach to get a couple of hours in the ocean. At the time, I was fascinated with the local high dollar shops close to the beach. On Worth Avenue, you could see some of the top shops in the country. That was so interesting to me to see those names on the buildings that I had heard about for years.

Huge names that are known all over the world graced the street so famous for it’s lavish boutiques. All the art galleries, the fine jewelry stores, antique stores, all there for those of us who could not afford it, we are able to simply enjoy the picture of it and some will drool over these things.

I could not get enough of the wonder of it all. We were walking down the street when my friend spotted a person who had the most amazing looking watch. We found out quite by accident that it was a Patek Gondolo! Awesome. That just about made our day. You know why, right? The rest of the things we saw were in the windows. People were not wearing them. But this person actually had the watch on.

We went on to the beach and had a marvelous time. That was our first trip to Palm Beach. After that, it wasn’t quite as exciting but it was still fun.
