Dream Spam? Now I’m Getting Dream Spam?

The phrase “dream spam” actually was borrowed from my husband. The reality is that apparently I do get dream spam and did last night. During a dream I was having, a rather big technicolor dream, I heard a cell phone playing the music for our cell phone but I could not find it. This morning, I found out that someone tried to call our cell phone but didn’t get through. I was just as glad since it was someone who wants us to buy something. Nah!

But the subject of dream spam is now in my mind. Just how much dream spam do we get? For instance, I do get more than just that instance. Sometimes it’s the cat who comes up to my nose and bats away. I wake up to that, in fact. Not necessarily the most pleasant wakeup. It could be he was sleeping on my hip which he does rather often. But it might make my dream say that someone was touching me when he decides to play catch the hand under the covers. He does bite lightly. That has been a rude wakeup as well but it also made for an amusing dream spam before that.

I guess the point is that we are influenced by whatever is going on around us as we sleep. That could be great or scary depending on what actually is going on around you as you sleep. And I have zero clue how to change that unless you throw out the cat, put the dog in his house, shut off literally everything in the house and turn off all cell phones. Oh, don’t set the alarm clock. Hmmm, sounds like a great day off.
