Movies, Popcorn and Me

Welcome back!
Years ago, we had this really great popcorn machine that popped dry popcorn in a little cart that looked like a popcorn machine on wheels like you see at the carnivals all the time. It was fantastic but the only problem I had was that it would not give enough at a time. We had to pop over and over again to get the right amount for several people at a time.
Then, over the years, it became lost in the shuffle of doing the moving dance. I really miss that little popper because we have never had anything like it since.

Yes I have one of those machines, but it does churn out a lot of popcorn. The only thing is it doesn’t taste quite the same as your movie popcorn, probably because it is dry - no oil, butter etc.
Also your preffered topping (salt for me!) doesn’t stick to the popcorn. Unless of course it is inherently sticky, like honey. But of course honey popcorn would be crazy.. or would it?
Yes, I know. The air poppers are really better for you, healthwise, but I love the buttery taste of the movie style popcorn.
My preferred topping is actually butter and salt. I know that it isn’t as good with the air poppers because it does not stick and if you pour hot butter on the popcorn afterwards, the corn gets limp. BAH!
The popper I used to have, I cannot find again. It was a little wagon looking thing, flat and rectangle, with a cooking surface like a warmer would look. It had a case that looked like those wagon things you see in the theater sometimes but it was sized for the tabletop.

I bet the raw corn for popping is so much cheaper - I am going to check out Amazon to see if I can pick one of these up.
Raw popcorn is amazingly cheaper. The air poppers are great for health too. But I like a little topping or two on mine. I miss my popper!!
