A Pickup Is All You See Around Here

Welcome back!
We live in rural Arkansas in the Ozarks. The vehicle of choice is usually a pickup. It is very possible that our next vehicle will also be a pickup since they are so useful especially in this type of rural setting.
The thing is that there are so many around here that it would be difficult to pick out the one make and model that is superior or the one that most people pick around here for the popular one. So, we do have our hands full trying to decide about this. For a while, we will be shopping around and take stock of what is available and at what prices. That seems to be reasonable to me. Then, of course, we would have to figure out the accessories too.
Pickups around here have a crew cab meaning they have room for people in a back seat. I like that. They also have dual wheels, another good possibility. What is really interesting is that many have the truck bed liner in their pickup. In the past, that did not happen. A pickup was used for just about everything, especially farm work. The bed was usually pretty scraped up by the time someone wanted to sell it. But now days, they want to keep the truck as new as is possible. Hence the truck bed liner. Not a bad idea there. We will need to think about that too.

I live in the heart of Texas in a pretty rural area myself and of course almost everyone here has a truck (or an SUV). Chevy used to be the reigning pick but I’ve noticed over the past 5 or 6 years that there are as many Dodges and Fords and others now. I guess it’s because there is such a variety out in the market now. I’m waiting for a hybrid truck with the power to tow a boat - then I think I will truly be in heaven!! Good luck on your truck search - curious to know what you end up choosing (and why) as it will be my turn next year to do some shopping.
