My Frustration Is Showing!!

Posted by: From Arkansas in Are You Kidding Me?, Blogging, It Ain't Sorted, So What, It's A Rant, My Take on Things on Dec 11 2007

Welcome back!

I guess my problem is that more people aren’t reading the posts I put up. I do know that takes time but I have a few things to say and I would love it if people were to read and comment on it. It’s just that some of these things I talk about are really, REALLY important and people need to think about these things. Right now, they are not doing that. It’s obvious that the mindset in this country is that “I’m going to get mine and to heck with you!! Get your own.”

This country is going down the tubes as fast as it can and the people in this country are helping it happen…sometimes through ignorance and sometimes through willful neglect or an “I don’t care” attitude. Well, you had better start to care because hard times are coming and I am going to tell you right now that if you don’t care now, when it comes to the hard times, no one will give a crap about you then. That’s the way it works.

One of the biggest problems in this country today is the “Dumbing Down of America”. Funny thing is that I do not think all that many people actually believe it. Why? Well, sometimes I think it’s because they already don’t have the type of education they should and do not get it that our schools are making it impossible for this country to continue to be a superpower. It is already not that now.

And this is not the only problem we have by any means. How about the fact that our health care programs need major evaluation and changes. How about the social security that needs some major changes before it goes belly up. How about our school that are teaching our children, not the three R’s….reading, ‘riting and rithmatic, but how to take a federal test for federal funding. We have that test being taught in a regular class instead of such things as geography and social studies.

If you have kids, just ask them where any place, except where you live of course, is and I am willing to bet that they do not know because they were not taught that in school. The only exceptions to that are probably going to be private schools or homeschooled children. It is so sad but it’s worse than that. These children are our leaders of the future and they won’t even know where they are when they campaign if things do not change.

Here’s a cute situation. There was a news story at Yahoo news today that talks about the federal government handing out coupons worth $40 each so that the people or person can have a CONVERTER BOX for their television when the stations go all digital. Are you kidding me?????? We need health care. We need social security reform. We need educational reform. And the government is going to give us converter boxes for our tvs. How wonderful!!!

Does this make you ill? It ought to. Isn’t it time to get a voice on this?

I agree. I get frustrated that no one comments. They acknowledge with an email. hrmmph I go to people’s blogs and make a comment after they have been to my blog.

I love this post and gave it a digg.

My frustration is not only about the commenting but also about the fact that they do not see this as a real problem. What does it take to get people to see what’s right in front of them????

      Thank you for commenting here!

I know exactly what you mean. That’s why I joined all kinds of stumble groups. It has helped big time.

Yes, stumble and others are helping a bit but not really enough. Part of the problem is that they aren’t really reading the article. All they do is stumble, digg or whatever. Believe me, I am grateful for that but it would be so much better if they read and reacted to the post itself.

Thank you for visiting and commenting.
