Traveling Around The Country

Posted by: From Arkansas in Travel on Dec 09 2007

Welcome back!

These days, I do not spend as much time traveling as I used to do. You could say that I have been more or less sidelined. However, years ago, I spent most of my waking hours driving to one side of the country or the other. The best part is that I got to see a whole lot of this country that I would never have otherwise seen. But there were favorite areas that I loved to go see.

One of the most interesting places that I have been to is in Arizona near the Grand Canyon. And, for the record, I still have not seen that since the truck I was driving simply was not allowed into that area. Arizona is beautiful to drive through. Some may not think so if all they see is the desert and rocky type of terrain but I believe it’s lovely.

Another place that is fun to be around is Las Vegas and Reno. I actually spent the majority of my time in Reno but I did get to Las Vegas a few times. Usually I was being sidelined by a closed pass in the mountains. Didn’t hurt my feelings at all. But if I was going to stay in a hotel instead of my truck, then I was looking for the best deals in discount hotels Las Vegas. It did not take long to find them since the hotels have casinos and really want you to stay at their place and gamble, gamble, gamble. And it was a barrel of laughs when some of my friends and I did just that. We had a blast.
