Christmas Time And Candles Go Together

Posted by: From Arkansas in Fun things, Holidays, In The House, The Good Things on Nov 11 2007

Welcome back!

As we approach Christmas time, I think about all the things I want to have to decorate my living room. It just seems to be more festive with those nicely burning candles that glow and make the lighting really pretty. And with a decorated tree standing there, it just seems to be the perfect way to enjoy the evening.

What usually happens at Christmas time are tragedies because people are careless with flames and dry trees. Or possibly there was a pet going after the flame. Whatever the reason, tragedy strikes. Ah but it does not have to be that way at all. Candles can be dangerous around children and pets but there is a way to change all that.

Ever heard of a flameless candle? These beauties are battery operated but look like a candle with a flame. It even has a little blackened wick. One has to really look closely to see that the candle is not lit with a match. You can have these candles anywhere you like since the pets cannot hurt them. They can sit right under the tree. They have holders so that you can put them up on the wall. I particularly like those because they give out a soft light feeling in the room with wall candles.

Of course, at this time of year, my personal favorites are the Christmas candles. The choice of candles in that category are fantastic. You can choose any one of several for any holiday or everyday use. I just love those flameless candles. They bring joy to the room without causing the problems of flame lit candles. And you do not have to turn them off when you go out the door. What a great idea for a Christmas gift!!!
