Singer Robert Goulet Died Today

Welcome back!
The name alone takes me back to my high school years and just beyond. I recall Robert Goulet on Ed Sullivan’s show on Sunday night. He was a fantastic singer, doing plays on Broadway and opera. He showed up in cameos in many movies. The one I can recall right this moment was in Beetlejuice, a movie that made me laugh. His first American stage play was Camelot. He played Lancelot.
He was only 73 years old, waiting on a lung transplant, because of a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis which was diagnosed only last month.
I actually remember him in some commercial recently about some type of snack bars or something like that. I know he was on several variety shows during the 60s because I remember seeing him often on them. I am absolutely certain I saw him several times on the Carol Burnett show as well.
He will be missed.
