Vacations Are Going To Happen Or Else!!

Welcome back!

You know, I just started thinking about the last post I put up about dialing up a reservations thing and then it hit me. I could find a place closer than what I said before. Hey, Tennessee is only a hop, skip and jump from where we live. Well, it is about 170 miles or so to Memphis, but what the heck.

One of the things that I have done in the past and want to do again is go to Pigeon Forge. I love that place. Have you ever been there? It’s great for the quiet and the scenery. Lots of places to go to. Of course, I would want to check out one of those Pigeon Forge cabins because I do not want to run to a hotel. And what would I do after I got there? Relax, of course. Find a place that there are no phones and enjoy the day. Now that’s the life.

Tenn. sounds like fun. I really want to take a good time to check out some of their legendary BBQ. I even worked for FedEx for a couple of years and never took the time to jump seat to Memphis to check it out. I heard Corky’s is the best. Any thoughts?

Never heard of Corky’s because I did not spend much time in Memphis. My trucking took me to many locales, Memphis included, but I was very limited in places I could go.

On the other hand, Tennessee has some of the best BBQ on the planet. How’s that.

Thanks for your thoughts on the subject.

Pigeon Forge sounds like a very relaxing place. Sometimes i go on vacation and get a little stressed out with all the other tourists and trying to see all the sights. I think a nice weekend in nature with no phones would be the ultimate relaxing vacay.

It does and it is. Yes, vacations can be as stressful as reality yet if it’s planned well and you can get past the idea that everyone is also on vacation with huge expectations, it can be really great.

So, the ultimate getaway, like no phones..just nature and me, would be great.
Pigeon Forge can be that. It can also be the other thing with large numbers of tourists during the seasons.

Thanks for commenting and visiting! Hope your getaway is all you want it to be when you do go.
