Presidential Cabinet Is Blogging

Posted by: From Arkansas in Blogging News, News And More Stuff, Political News on Oct 21 2007

Welcome back!

Bloggers, we are not alone! President Bush’s cabinet members are blogging too. And, apparently, they say more than I do. For instance, Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt recently put up more than 1,200 word post on his blog concerning his Mozambique trip. He wanted to write more but he was getting too far past bedtime. I can identify with that.

Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff is also blogging about his day and whatever else appeals to him. They are but two of the President’s cabinet members who are putting words to the screen and telling the world. While the State department has also started a blog, Ms. Rice has not yet contributed to it.

Apparently, Mr. Chertoff is getting a bit of satisfaction in challenging the New York Times with a couple of his blog entries that were something less that complimentary to Homeland Security and the administration.
