Superbug Infecting Students In Several Areas Of U.S.

Welcome back!
This superbug seems to be in several areas of the country but has not yet been called an epidemic. It’s a highly resistant staph infection that antibiotics do not touch. So far, six states have been included in the staph infections. Officials say that even though it is resistant, it can be treated. However, there have been some deaths with this infection.
I know that staph infections are extremely serious. A member of our family had a staph infection last December and was extremely ill from it.

I heard about this and it’s awful. My hubby’s uncle was being treated for cancer and go a staph infection that he couldn’t get over. We’re convinced that’s what killed him because he was responding well to cancer treatments. It’s scary to think about and makes me never want to go to a hospital or anywhere else I might pick up an infection!
Yes, the staph infection is awful. It nearly killed a family member. It is extremely scary but you can get that from the kids at school not washing their hands properly or from so many other places.
At this time, it is not everywhere, only in those 6 states. The way to help ourselves is to wash hands often and keep the germs from surfaces. Stay away from someone who is coughing a lot and teach the kids to cover their mouths when they cough. We can all help to prevent this.
