Wonder Where They Live?

Have you ever wondered where some of the favorite celebs of times past live? Okay, that could easily be a reach but I found out, quite by accident, that two celebs live in the same small town. What’s the odds of that? Ever hear of Michael Collins? The astronaut? In 1969, he and Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were a three-man crew on board Apollo 11, the first manned mission to the moon. Collins stayed in the command module while Armstrong and Aldrin went to the surface and walked on the moon.
And then there was Andy Griffith. Remember him? Andy Taylor, sheriff of Mayberry, North Carolina. He and Aunt Bee raised Opie Taylor during a long running television series. He is best known for that series but also was in the title role on Matlock, the crack attorney who tended to win his cases by pure intelligence.
Now, what do these guys have in common? Outer Banks, North Carolina. They both live there. Isn’t that strange? I can see that Andy Griffith would go back to his roots. Guess that’s what Michael Collins did too. How about that.
