Cubs Fans Take It Too Far

Okay, this is my own opinion but I believe that it is going too far as a baseball fan to name a child after a baseball field. This poor kid, who’s last name is Fields, has the first name…I kid you not..of Wrigley. How could parents DO that to a child?? Can you hear the kids at school now? “Hey, Wrigley, where’s your gum?” “Are you chewable?” “When does baseball season start?” There will be far more that that. I was being nice.
You know, I do understand being a fan. I’m a fan of several groups myself…like the Gaither Vocal Band, Petra, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Johnny Rivers, Weird Al Yankovic and lots more but I have not named my children Petra, K.C., Gaither, Rivers, Yankovic, Beatles or Princess Diaries after one of my favorite movies. They have reasonable names because I didn’t want kids to make fun of them for that. Of course, kids will find something anyway but it wasn’t about their names!! Parents, do not do this to your children.
