I am going to hit you with a statistic right away. See if this impacts you like it did me. 5 million people. That’s the number of folks currently with alzheimer’s disease. And then I want to ask you this…what are you doing to help find a cure? Help someone with the disease? How can you help? I’m glad you asked. I can help you help others.
World Alzheimer’s Day is coming fast, September 21st, in fact. You can host a socially responsible Purple Party at your home to help raise awareness and bring in donations all during September. The party is fun! The cause is serious.
Do you like to hold parties? Then this is ideal for you. It will help World Alzheimer’s Day and give you an excuse to hold that party you’ve been wanting to throw all year!
Go to the site and register your party with the wonderful folks at actionalz.org where they have some fantastic help on how to set the party up, ideas on types, invitations, how to ask for the donations and just a whole lot more. This site is loaded with help for you to make that perfect Purple Party work.
When you register for your Purple Party, this allows you to have a webpage for the party you are holding. It even gives your participants a way to donate online. Through your site, you can send out emails to your guests. And ALL donations that are received will be matched dollar for dollar by by The Harrah’s Foundation. DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR! Isn’t that awesome!!
