Michael B. Mukasey In The Hot Seat For Att. General

Posted by: From Arkansas in Commentary, Political News on Sep 16 2007

Welcome back!

After the resignation of Alberto Gonzales, President Bush had to find a new Attorney General. He has decided to pick Judge Michael B. Mukasey who swore in Rudy Giuliani when he became the mayor of New York. Bush will officially announce this on Monday.

Since Mukasey has presided over terrorist cases for a decade and has support from some key Democrats, which is a key to keeping the confirmation hearings friendlier than in the past. The Judge was in the Manhattan court house as chief judge there for 6 years. He has impeccable credentials which have to be a sales point with this very tough congress.

Let’s hope that this one is going to stay for the rest of the present term. With the devastating blows that came from the firings of the lawyers and the current low moral, it will be his job to give the whole office a boost.

I know what you mean about the cost. The hubby has talked a lot about having a home movie theater.

Right now where we go for our movies they have an early bird special where if you go before noon that it is only 5.00 to get in.

Then what I get us from the snack bar is the the kids pack. it is only 5.00 and it includes popcorn, small soda and some kind of candy treat.

But I also have to admit that we have gone to the later shows. Mik and I are really into movies both out and at home.

Not sure what that has to do with this post on the attorney general’s appointment.

It does have to do with the next post down on this list though called I Have A Dream of A HOME THEATER.

I love movies but I hate the discomfort of the seats, the people around me talking and talking incessantly so that I cannot hear the movie I paid dearly to watch or the price of the food, which is incredibly high. You can get all that for pennies instead of dollars but not when you are in the movie theater.

So, I do have a dream of a movie theater. Dunno if I will ever have it but I do have the power to buy the DVD and watch it over and over and that’s what we do now instead of spending all that money on one movie, one time.

      Thanks for commenting.
