I Have The Dream Of A Home Theater

Posted by: From Arkansas in Family stuff, Fun things, Odds And Ends on Sep 16 2007

Welcome back!

I should mention here that I absolutely hate movie theaters anymore. There was a time when I loved them but no longer. The last time I was in a theater, my friend and I bought some popcorn and drinks as we went into the theater to watch whatever it was that we saw that day. The cost was outrageous. I can cook a meal for 4 people and have change left over for what it cost ME at that movie!!! This is ridiculous.

So, I decided then and there that I was not going to go to those places anymore. Of course, that means that we have to wait for the thing to come out on DVD before we can see it but that’s the price we pay. Yes, I dragged my husband into this too but then, he didn’t want to sit in one of those places either.

Now we have figured out that we need our own home movie theater. That means that we need to pick out one of several home theater popcorn machines so that it feels just like we are there with the big screen. Yeah, that means we also have to get a BIG SCREEN but it’s my dream. Let me dream it!! Naturally, we need the seats and the lighting too. I dunno how many seats we would need since we rarely have anyone watch with us but that’s probably going to change if we build our new dream theater so there should be at least 10 seats. But remember, no matter what else, it’s all about the popcorn!

Yes, but if I did even a little of this, I get comfort and have the movie to keep and watch again. If I spend the money to go to the movies, it’s a one time shot, I have to pay for the food and drink and it’s NOT COMFORTABLE!!!!! I happen to like my comfort.

      Thanks for visiting.
