Saying Goodbye To A Star

Welcome back!
Luciano Pavarotti had his last standing ovation Saturday when those who mourn him stood to say their last farewells. He died Thursday after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. A recording of Pavarotti and his father who were singing a duet of “Panis Angelicus” filled the cathedral. Many people were crying while listening. He and his father had sung the duet in the same cathedral in 1978.
Thousands of his fans watched the funeral outside on a screen. 100,000 had viewed the casket prior to the service on Saturday. He will be missed by anyone who has heard and loved his music.
