Are Oil Companies Obligated To Help Clean Our Air?

Posted by: From Arkansas in Odds And Ends, Political News on Sep 04 2007

Welcome back!

In my opinion, yes they do have that obligation as does the U.S. government. I feel that they need to develop better ways to give us the fuels we need to live our lives. The needs of the country, the economy are such that the oil companies and the government have to see this and step up for us. For what it’s worth, I believe that the oil companies have an obligation to search out alternative fuels and put them out there for the public use. They need to realize that petroleum is on it’s way out.

One oil company seems to be stepping up and seeking out the alternative fuels that we really need to burn efficiently and cleanly. In a video on their website, they talk about using and expanding wind, solar, hydrogen and natural gases to create a cleaner, safer and healthier environment for our children to grow up in. The environment is so important right now. Fossil fuels are polluting our living space as well as bringing on climate changes. One of the alternative ways of making energy is wind. I have seen the windmills in the west that are doing so much for the environment there. This company is doing the research that it takes to bring on changes in how we live for the better.
