On Vacation? Is Your Toilet Running? Bad News

A guy was on vacation for a couple of months. Nice if you can get it, right? The best I can say is having a vacation of about a week. When he got back, he found his toilet had malfunctioned and was running and running and running. Oh yeah. It ran to the tune of a $1,200 bill. If that was not bad enough? This guy is on a government pension. So, where does a person like that turn to? Surely, not the government. Nope.
A really great person who wishes to be called only Joe, went to the water company and paid off $790 of the bill. This left a total of $415 that the water company forgave because they did not follow through on notifying the customer when the usage is unusually high. In fact, the guy comes out with a $10 credit on his bill. Now that’s a great story.
