Traveling To California–Too Good To Miss

Welcome back!
I used to travel quite a bit. It was at least once a week or so that I ended up in California at one end of it or the other. Once upon a time, I hauled refrigerated foods out to California and veggies back to the east coast. Quite often, it would be necessary to stop and rest in a motel or hotel so that I could better function the next day.
Now, I always wanted to stay in those really classy lodges like the Mendocino lodging places where you get all the trimmings. You know what I mean. They usually have cabins but not like the ones around here. Cabins here are for hunters, not usually all that clean and neat. Somebody will have cleaned a deer or something. Yuck! No, I’m talking about those cabins that have the fireplaces and decks to look at the gorgeous view that you get near the Pacific Ocean. Never got there since I almost always ended up needting to stay with the load I was hauling. Bah!

I don’t think these lodges are comfortable. I had a forgettable experience once. They are dingy.
I prefer to rent out large vacation home.
Ah, I’m sorry that your experience wasn’t good. I haven’t tried the cabins like these before. On the other hand, I’ve seen the vacation homes. We live all around those here in Arkansas. Very nice.
