Hurricane Dean Feared To Be A Category 5 Soon

Welcome back!
This is a scary storm. It’s about to hit Haiti and the Dominican Republic at category 4 strength. There is a possibility that Dean will go to category 5. The forecasters are saying that it is possible for it to reach that strength within the next 72 hours. Even more scary is that it is sustaining winds of 150 miles per hour now but expected to reach 155 miles per hour approaching the Yucatan Peninsula and the Gulf of Mexico on Monday. Haiti and the Dominican Republic are subject to damaging floods. They have no resources if that happens. Jamaica is also expecting to get a direct hit from Dean.
These people are already poor and helpless. They need prayers from everywhere right now. This is a frightening storm but people must pray for those who desperately need it now. The devastation from such a storm is high. We know this from what happened in the Gulf coast during and after Katrina. Yet, that storm was a category 3 when it hit land. This storm is expected to strengthen to a category 5 before it’s all over. And it is predicted to possibly hit the southern coast of Texas in a few days as well.
