Pickup Heaven In Rural Arkansas

Welcome back!
We absolutely live in pickup heaven. I know this because anytime I go out of the house, somewhere we will see a pickup here, a pickup there. I do not believe that we could possibly go out and not see one in our rural area. They are simply too popular and most of the time necessary.
There are a whole lot of farms around and they all seem to need a pickup. Of course, we also have the sale barn not far from us, about 9 or 10 miles away. On Friday, you can see probably a hundred pickups, the people all trying to buy some type of livestock. Pickup pulling trailers are normal for me. But, the real problem the owners seem to have is trying to keep their pickup bed from getting rusty and dinged up. So, a lot of these folks put a truck bed liner in the bed. It’s exactly what it sounds like for those who are non-pickup owners. It’s made of a hard material that completely lines the bed of the truck, thus giving it more life.
Not really a bad idea considering it isn’t that expensive and the bed of the truck could last a whole lot longer. Ah well. It’s not Friday yet.
