Slot Cars And The Tracks That Love Them

Posted by: From Arkansas in Family stuff, Odds And Ends, The Good Things on Aug 12 2007

Welcome back!

Okay, being a girl, I was not encouraged to have slot cars when I was a kid (it was, after all, the fifties when I was single digit). I would love to have had that. They look like so much fun. Ah, maybe I should get a set now. I could go over to the search page and put in slot cars. Then, find the most friendly page, buy the thing and I would have, oh I don’t know, FIVE MINUTES a day to play with it. ACK!! That does not sound right but it probably is true.

My husband remembers having slot cars when he was a kid. After all, he was a boy! Sigh. Well, he had that set for a while and had a blast with it. Two hand controllers to satisfy the need for speed. Of course, he needed plenty of track. No small tracks would do. I don’t think it’s fun if the track is too small. Anyway, he remembers it fondly. Then into his life came rockets. Nuther story.
