Video: Is The Space Program Boring?

Welcome back!
A couple of days ago, I mentioned the space shuttle flight out to the space station. And I said that most of the media really didn’t cover the launch, only FoxNews, in fact. What does this say to our children? That we have grown beyond the history making events and that they should not care about what is happening in the world? No, of course not. But then, there are wars and rumors of wars all over the place. Why should we care about a space flight? After all, nothing is going on there.
Okay, I have to admit that I missed the latest launch too. BUT, it is history making and we should not miss these things. Our nieces watched the previous launch and were enamoured with the whole thing. Know why? Because they had never seen that before!!!
So, what does THAT say to you? It should tell you that kids really do want to see such things but will act the way you taught them. So, if you don’t care and act like it’s too everyday for you, then they will too.
I found this video on a wakeup for the astronauts. I know, very everyday. Right. Just remember one tiny little thing here…it ain’t YOU up there, so it IS really something!! Try and see it from that point of view just once.
It was just a contact from the control center. Nothing really earthshaking. Oh no? Well, did you read the last thing I wrote? The shuttle has a gouge on the underbelly. These people might have real problems. NOW is it important?
