Giuliani Inserted Foot, Had To Apologize

As appears to be the usual with politicals these days, Mr. Giuliani inserted his foot firmly in his mouth when he declared that he had been at ground zero as much if not more than the workers had been thus endangering himself with the same problems that they have. Uh, not so, sir, says the workers…meaning the firefighters and police officers that were at ground zero working frantically to get those who were still alive out of the debris. Mr. Giuliani obviously did not have a hand in that work.
He did retract what he said by then saying that he was there for them. Ah, that isn’t quite the same thing, sir. He was actually trying to show concern for the workers’ health due to the problems that have started. This did not gain him support from the very workers he was trying to help and show compassion for, apparently.
