Parents, Are Your Children Safe On MySpace?

Posted by: From Arkansas in Are You Kidding Me? on Aug 05 2007

Welcome back!

Are your children safe on MySpace? Do you know if your child has an account on MySpace? If so, do they show you what they’re doing? If not, what are you going to do about that? I can hear it now. The child has a right to privacy. Really? Most of those parents that said that usually regret not finding out after the person is dead or something happened to them because of a predator. The parents are usually saying “I didn’t know”. I realize that kids hide a multitude of things from parents but it is vital that the parent or guardian knows what is going on with the child to keep them safe.

These questions should be normal in families these days but, sadly, it is not the normal. Parents should be monitoring their kid’s access to such places because the sexual predators are definitely there in amazing numbers.

Now, what are you going to do about your kid on MySpace?
