Some years ago, my husband was involved in a car accident where they had to cut him out of the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital and sent to a bigger hospital via air ambulance. It was essential that he be treated quickly for his injuries. He’s fine now. It was difficult but it would have been much worse had he needed to be at a hospital without the ride he got since the ambulance trip would have been over one hundred miles to the nearest bigger hospital. That is the price we pay for living in the sticks.
