Media Strikes While It’s Hot

Posted by: From Arkansas in Are You Kidding Me?, What Were They Thinking? on Jul 24 2007

Welcome back!

I just read a long story about the media getting into people’s lives while the candidates are on the road. Apparently, (like we don’t know this) the media picks and chooses who they like and then they slant their stories to match their personal favs. Oh my gosh, slanted stories? How could they?

Ha! They could and do. I have yet to see a less than slanted story on the candidates and their bids for the White House. You can also tell who the front runners are simply by reading the stories the media tells about each one. For instance, there is no doubt that Ms Clinton is on her way to the front runner spot with the dems. Obama is up there too but the slant says that the woman is going to win that nomination. Sad but true.

They have not made up their minds about the front runner for the Republicans. It’s that confusing. McCain seems to be a bad boy so they don’t like him anymore. They seem to like Romney who hasn’t committed any unpardonable sins lately. Guiliani is not a good guy at the moment. I am losing track of the front of this pack.

They used to like Edwards but since he committed the apparently unforgivable sin of having his hair cut in a hotel by a person who was paid $400 and came to him, well, he is history. We can’t have the guy spending his own money to look good while the people are starving in upper whatever town.

Come on, guys. The media is getting a bit too big for it’s britches but those powers that be are milking it for all it’s worth. These days, unfortunately, it’s worth the Presidency.

What were they thinking?
